I called Cox due to other positive reviews. My system was installed nearly 7 years ago and I have had nothing, but problems with it ever since. When I called Cox they were the 4th company I had contacted over the years. The lady who answered was very friendly and seemed to actually care about my issue. To my surprise she said Sam could be out the same night! Mind you I called about 4:30pm on Friday evening when it was about 15 degrees. Sam arrived as promised and quickly diagnosed a bad compressor that couldn’t be unlocked. Being an older R22 system I was ready to replace the air handler and heat pump. Sam gave me a very reasonable quote and said he could be out on Tuesday to replace it all. The helper arrived first and did the prep work and Sam arrived later with the new equipment. At the end of the day I had a new air handler, thermostat and heat pump professionally installed a day working great and he came in EXACTLY on his quote with no hidden fees. They also take great care in protecting your home from dirt and mud by using foot bootie covers EVERY time they come in from the outside. I will not call anyone else for HVAC issues and I can’t recommend Cox and Sam highly enough.
I forgot to add that Sam also located the original issue on my old system which was a leak no one else could find, but at this point the compressor had died due to moisture in the lines from the leak. Sam is a great technician who knows his craft.
